The following general conditions regulate online purchases performed on the website of www.pirinthianphotos.com. Click on an item to be taken to the detail further down the page.


  1. General provisions
    • 1.1. These general conditions of sale (hereinafter, General Conditions) apply to all distance sales of Pirinthian Photos products (hereinafter, Print, Prints or Products) carried out through the www.pirinthianphotos.com website (hereinafter, Website).
    • 1.2. Distance selling services described in these General Conditions are only available to consumers (hereinafter, Clients or Client) being natural persons acting for purposes extraneous to their trade, business, craft and profession, aged over 18 (or, if they are minors, duly authorized by their legal representative).
    • 1.3. The language used to enter any contract through this Website is English.
    • 1.4. Clients are required to carefully read the General Conditions, which have been made available on the Website to enable Clients to acknowledge, store and reproduce them.
    • 1.5. Contracts entered into with Pirinthian Photos (as detailed below) through the Website are governed by English law.

  2. Identification of the vendor
    • The vendor is Pirinthian Photos, a trading name and part of Equoia Limited, with its registered office at 90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. VAT number 628462818 and Company registration number: 3400327 (hereinafter, Pirinthian Photos).

  3. Information on prints and their availability
    • 3.1. Each Print forms part of a limited edition print run of between 25 to 75 prints.
    • 3.2. Depictions of the Prints displayed on the Website may not correspond precisely to their actual appearance, especially colours which will differ on the Clients computer monitor, tablet, smartphone and other devices depending on the individual settings of each device.
    • 3.3. All Prints are subject to their limited edition availability, once all prints are sold no further prints will be produced. Pirinthian Photos reserves the right at any time to alter the types of Prints available or the time taken to fulfil an order due to seasonal fluctuations in demand from the Website. The style, models and colours of the Prints described on the Website may be changed without notice. Our current fulfilment time is 14 working days for Europe and 21 working days for the Rest of the World from order placement, if an order cannot be processed due to seasonal fluctuations the client will be informed.

  4. Prices
    • 4.1. The prices of the Prints are indicated on the Website in GBP and are inclusive of all applicable local taxes and charges.
    • 4.2. Delivery costs are included in the price of Prints and shown as a zero cost item in the shopping cart.
    • 4.3. Pirinthian Photos regularly verifies that all the prices displayed on the Website are correct, however, cannot guarantee the absence of errors. In the event that an error in the pricing of a Print is detected, Pirinthian Photos shall offer the Client the opportunity to purchase the Print at the correct price or to cancel the order.
    • 4.4. The information displayed on the Website does not represent an offer by Pirinthian Photos.

  5. Purchases
    • 5.1. The essential characteristics and the price of each Print are provided for each Print displayed on the Website.
    • 5.2. Before a Client submits an order proposal, Clients should ensure that they read and understand all the instructions provided on the website along with these General Conditions, because they will be bound by all of them once a contract comes into existence. Clients must place the Print into their shopping basket and, after having read and accepted these General Conditions, with particular regard to the right of cancellation, as well as after having read the privacy policy statement, must select the desired payment method and choose the place order option.
    • 5.3. If clients need to correct any errors in details they have entered, they should send us an email with the correct details.
    • 5.4. Without prejudice to the use of data described in the privacy policy statement and subject to the express consent of the Client, Client's data may be kept by Pirinthian Photos for the period required by applicable legislation.

  6. Method of payment
    • 6.1. Clients may pay for any Print by credit/debit card, cheque or bank transfer via our bank details below.
    • 6.2. Pirinthian Photos accepts payments made with the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Switch and Diners.
    • 6.3. The transactions will be debited from the Client's credit card only after:

      6.3.1. The credit card data has been verified;

      6.3.2. The authorisation to debit the card has been received from the issuer of the card used by the Client, and

      6.3.3. The availability of the Print has been confirmed by Pirinthian Photos and the order is therefore ready to be fulfilled.

    • 6.4. A debit shall be made at the moment of transmission of the order proposal.
    • 6.5. Pirinthian Photos also accepts payments made by bank transfer to the following: Equoia Limited, Account Number: 20022160, Sort Code: 20-45-57. Please make sure to use your name for the reference for the transaction so we can cross check with our order records. Equoia Limited is the holding company for Pirinthian Photos.
    • 6.6 All costs and expenses (including bank charges) associated with the bank transfer, invoiced, as the case may be, to the Client by his/her bank, shall be borne by the Client.
    • 6.7 In the event that, for any reason, it is impossible to debit amounts due from the Client, the transaction shall be stopped and the sale cancelled.

  7. Conclusion of the contract
    • 7.1. The contract between Pirinthian Photos and the Client shall be deemed to be executed at the moment availability of the Print has been verified and the price for the purchase has been debited to the Client's credit card or in the case of payment by bank transfer, confirmation of the receipt of the bank transfer in cleared funds has been received by Pirinthian Photos.
    • 7.2. Pirinthian Photos reserves the right to partially fulfil any order in the event that one or more of the Prints ordered by the Client is delayed in production.
    • 7.3. Pirinthian Photos shall not be liable for errors due to the Client's connection to the Website.
    • 7.4. At the moment of confirmation of the order or execution of the contract, Pirinthian Photos shall provide the Client, by email, information on the essential characteristics of the purchase. The Client should immediately review this communication and notify Pirinthian Photos of any errors or omissions immediately.

  8. Invalidity of the order proposal
    • 8.1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph 6 above, no order proposal shall be considered as accepted by Pirinthian Photos nor shall any contract be concluded between Pirinthian Photos and the Client if Pirinthian Photos has reasonable reason to believe that the Client:
    • 8.1.1. Is not a bona fide Client; or
    • 8.1.2. Attempts to exercise a right of cancellation in any illegitimate manner.
    • 8.2. In such cases, the order proposal sent by the Client shall be void and have no effect. Pirinthian Photos shall notify the Client, by email, of its non-acceptance of the order proposal and the failure to conclude the contract and shall also cancel any debit and/or charge against the Client.

  9. Delivery
    • 9.1. For security reasons, Prints purchased from the Website shall be delivered to the address registered on the credit card unless otherwise indicated by the Client. The signature of the Client or of a nominated adult over 18 years of age will be required at the time of delivery. Pirinthian Photos cannot deliver to PO boxes.
    • 9.2. In case of payment by bank transfer, deliveries shall be sent once the transfer has been received in cleared funds by Pirinthian Photos.
    • 9.3. For each order, Pirinthian Photos shall send an invoice by email or by post to the Client. The invoice will be based upon the information provided by the Client at the time of the order. No alterations to the invoice are possible after it has been issued.
    • 9.4. Delivery charges are included in the price and not borne by the Client.
    • 9.5. All purchases shall be delivered by our selected delivery service. Pirinthian Photos is not responsible for delays that are unforeseeable and/or attributable exclusively to the delivery service.
    • 9.6. In all cases, except those of events beyond the reasonable control of Pirinthian Photos or unforeseeable circumstances, Prints shall be delivered within 14 working days for Europe and 21 working days for the Rest of the World from the day following that of the contract conclusion as per Paragraph 7.1 above, unless Pirinthian Photos notifies the Client, including by email, within the same term or by the last date agreed for delivery, of the ordered Print being unavailable, including temporarily unavailable. In this event, Pirinthian Photos shall reimburse any sums paid by the Client in respect of the order.
    • 9.7. In the event that, in response to Pirinthian Photos notification of a delay in the delivery, the Client wishes to cancel the order, any amount already paid by the Client shall be reimbursed as soon as possible, in all cases no later than 30 (thirty) days of the date of receipt of the Client's notification of cancellation of the order.
    • 9.8. The Client or his/her nominated representative present at the delivery address indicated on the order for delivery of the Print(s). At the time of delivery of the Print(s), the Client is required to verify:

      9.8.1. That the number of items being delivered corresponds to that indicated on the delivery note; and

      9.8.2. That the packaging and its seals are intact, undamaged, not wet or altered in any manner. Any damages to the packaging and/or the Print, or discrepancies in the number of items or documentation must be immediately noted.


  10. Delivery confirmation
    • Pirinthian Photos shall send the Client a confirmation email once the order is dispatched.

  11. Wrapping or packaging
    • Prints purchased from the Website are delivered in sturdy protective packaging normally consisting of a thick cardboard mailing tube.

  12. Right of cancellation of orders
    • 12.1. Pirinthian Photos seeks the complete satisfaction of our Clients. The Client has the right to cancel the contract without specifying any reason, by notifying us within 14 (fourteen) days from the date the Product(s) were delivered.
    • 12.2. To exercise the right of cancellation, the Client should send an email to:
    • 12.2.1. An indication of their intention to exercise the right of cancellation;
    • 12.2.2. In the event that the Client purchased the Print by bank transfer, the Client's bank details to which the reimbursement is to be made.
    • 12.3. Upon exercising the right of cancellation, Pirinthian Photos shall reimburse the full price of the Print provided that they are returned by the Client unused and undamaged, accompanied by the relevant original invoice and the original Pirinthian Photos packaging.
    • 12.4. Pirinthian Photos reserves the right to refuse returns of Prints that do not comply with these requirements. In cases of defective Prints, the provisions of Paragraph 16 Lack of conformity shall apply. Reimbursements shall be made by the same method of payment used for purchase. Prints purchased online cannot be reimbursed or exchanged for money.
    • 12.5. The cost of returning the Print shall be borne by the Client.
    • 12.6. You have 14 (fourteen) days to return the goods from the date (12.1) you informed us of your wish to cancel the order.
    • 12.7. We will refund the client within 14 (fourteen) days of receiving the goods back.
    • 12.8. If a Client wishes to amend or cancel an order already made, an email must be sent before the Client receives confirmation of dispatch by Pirinthian Photos, send an email to:
    • 12.9. Pirinthian Photos shall make every effort to satisfy the Client's request.

  13. Replacement of prints
    • 13.1. To replace a Print purchased on the Website, Clients should follow the procedure set out below.
    • 13.2. Clients who are not fully satisfied, or who believe there is a discrepancy in their order must keep all the documentation relating to the delivery and the Print itself in its original packaging and immediately contact Pirinthian Photos by email: following the procedure set out in Paragraph 12 above.
    • 13.3. The Print to be replaced must be received by Pirinthian Photos in its original condition as when delivered.
    • 13.4. The placement of the new order is subject to the standard 14 working days for Europe and 21 working days for the Rest of the World delivery period.
    • 13.5. In the event that the Client is seeking replacement due to lack of conformity pursuant to Paragraph 14 below, the replacement Print shall be sent to the Client.

  14. Lack of conformity
    • 14.1. If a Print sold by Pirinthian Photos has manufacturing defects or in any case of alleged lack of conformity of Prints sold by Pirinthian Photos, the Client must immediately contact us by email:
    • 14.2. The Client has the right to have the Print replaced or the contract cancelled.

  15. Errors or inaccuracies
    • 15.1. Pirinthian Photos undertakes to provide up to date information in the sections of the Website relating to the description and/or sale of the Prints. However, Pirinthian Photos cannot guarantee the Website will be error-free. The Website in question may contain typing errors, inaccuracies or omissions, for example relating to the price or availability of the Print or in the information provided on the Print. Pirinthian Photos reserves the right to correct such errors, inaccuracies or omissions, even after an order proposal has been sent, and also reserves the right to change or update information at any time without prior notice.

  16. Authenticity guarantee and intellectual property rights
    • 16.1. The originating Photographer guarantees the authenticity of their images used to create all Prints purchased on the Website.
    • 16.2. The Client will not reproduce by any format (photograph, scan, reprint, draw etc.) the art print they have purchased from Pirinthian Photos.
    • 16.3. The Client purchasing a print(s) acknowledges it/they will be for purely personal and not commercial use.
    • 16.4. The images and prints on the Pirinthian Photos Website are the property of the originating Photographer (the copyright owner) and are used by Pirinthian Photos with the Photographer's permission to aid in the sale of art prints.

  17. Pirinthian Photos liability
    • 17.1. Subject to Paragraph 17.2, Pirinthian Photos will not be liable under these General Conditions for any loss or damage caused by Pirinthian Photos or its employees or agents in circumstances where:

      17.1.1. There is no breach of a legal duty of care owed to the Client by Pirinthian Photos or by any of Pirinthian Photos employees or agents;

      17.1.2. Such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach and so is an indirect or consequential loss, and

      17.1.3. Any increase in loss or damage results from breach by the Client of any term of these General Conditions. 17.2. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits Pirinthian Photos liability for:

      17.2.1. Death or personal injury caused by Pirinthian Photos negligence;

      17.2.2. Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

      17.2.3. Any breach of the obligations implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979;

      17.2.4. Defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987; or

      17.2.5. Any other matter for which it would be illegal for Pirinthian Photos to exclude or attempt to exclude its liability.


  18. Applicable law and competent jurisdiction
    • 18.1. These General Conditions are governed by English law and shall be interpreted in accordance with English laws.
    • 18.2. Any disputes arising from the interpretation, validity and/or execution of these General Conditions shall be subject to the mandatory territorial jurisdiction of the competent court of the place of residence or domicile of the Client/consumer.

  20. Privacy policy
    • 20.1. We are committed to developing long-lasting relationships with our clients, photographers and charities and will do our best to ensure your right to privacy.
    • 20.2. We will not pass on your email address to any third party for marketing purposes.
    • 20.3. We may send you special offers, promotions or general information by post and/or email. If you do not want to receive these you can unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails.
    • 20.4. We do not store your credit card details on our website, transactions are processed securely via an outside payment company.
    • 20.5. We protect the limited customer information we do collect such as name, email, address and telephone numbers etc., submitted to our website via encryption with an SSL certificate. This complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation that came into effect on the 25 May 2018.
    • 20.6. We do not use cookies on our website.
    • 20.7. Pirinthian Photos is not responsible for the privacy policies of websites to which we may link to.
    • 20.8. Pirinthian Photos may need to disclose personal information when legally required to do so by law enforcement agencies.

  21. Intellectual property rights
    • The Pirinthian Photos trademark, together with the set of figurative and non-figurative trademarks, service marks, present in the Prints, the relevant accessories and/or packaging, marks consisting of shapes of goods, that are subject to registration or otherwise, together with all the illustrations, images and places protected by copyright, and more generally all the intellectual property rights relating to the Prints remain the exclusive property of Pirinthian Photos and Equoia Limited.

  22. Photographers
    • 22.1. Photo specifications

      22.1.1. Diamond prints should be in black & white, a minimum of 7,200 x 4,800 pixels for a 36 x 24 inch print at 200ppi with an aspect ratio of 3:2 in 12/14/16 bit, JPG/TIFF/PSD format.

      22.1.2. Platinum prints should be in black & white, a minimum of 6,000 x 4,000 pixels for a 30 x 20 inch print at 200ppi with an aspect ratio of 3:2 in 12/14/16 bit, JPG/TIFF/PSD format.

      22.1.3. Gold prints should be in black & white, a minimum of 7,200 x 4,800 pixels for a 24 x 16 inch print at 300ppi with an aspect ratio of 3:2 in 12/14/16 bit, JPG/TIFF/PSD format.

      22.2. Copyright of images

    • Photographers providing images to Pirinthian Photos guarantee to have created all images themselves and own all rights to the images.

      22.3. Licensing terms

    • 22.3.1. Photographers providing images to Pirinthian Photos guarantee adherence to our limited edition policy of limiting Diamond prints to 25, Platinum prints to 50 and Gold prints to 75. If a Photographer has already sold a number of prints prior to joining Pirinthian Photos, they must inform us of the number sold so we can adjust the number available on our website. This does not include the sale of digital images or images used to create a professional hardback photographic books for sale.

      22.3.2 Images submitted by a Photographer to Pirinthian Photos to turn into a art print for sale on our Website shall be on an semi-exclusive basis as images can be used for commercial purposes apart from being printed in an art form.

      22.3.3 The Photographer and Pirinthian Photos can create a few additional prints called photographer's/artist's proofs. These prints are used to showcase your work at galleries, museums and charity events etc.

      22.4. Legal enforcement

    • 22.4.1. You hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Pirinthian Photos and its licensors and their officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives from and against any and all claims, actions, proceedings, suits, liabilities, damages, settlements, penalties, losses or expenses, including attorney fees and costs, arising from any dispute regarding the authenticity, ownership, copyright, limited edition quantity of an image submitted by a Photographer to Pirinthian Photos and for sale on our website.

      22.4.2. Photographers are completely responsible for their images as being the only person with full knowledge and provenance of their images.


  23. Charities & donations
    • 23.1. The amount available for allocation to charities will be the print sale price prior to the addition of UK VAT (Value Added Tax at 20%).

      23.2. Charitable donations administration

    • 23.2.1. The Photographer will inform Pirinthian Photos of their charity of choice.

      23.2.2. The donation can only take place once a sale is classified as final beyond any refund period.

      23.2.3. Pirinthian Photos can choose to accumulate donations until a specific sum or viable minimum donation amount is reached dependent on individual charity rules for donations.
